Our commitment to Jesus Christ includes stewardship. According to the Bible everything belongs to God (Psalm 24:1). We are commanded to be good stewards of our God-given resources. Financial stewardship begins with the “tithe” (Malachi 3:8-10). We practice giving a tenth (tithe) of our income to God, through our local church, on a regular basis. Your regularity is based on how often you receive income; weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly etc. We also have the privilege of giving financial offerings as opportunities arise (1 Corinthians 16:2).
Giving is a part of worship. We also believe that God promises to provide for our needs as well as bless our finances as we are obedient to Him. We believe in the universal, scriptural principle, of sowing and reaping. If we sow sparingly, we reap sparingly. If we sow generously, we reap generously (2 Corinthians 9:6).
